The Tyne & Tees Day Ranger allows travel along the East Coast Main Line between Morpeth and Darlington and between Hexham and Sunderland via Newcastle.

You can also travel between Bishop Auckland, Saltburn and Whitby via Darlington and Middlesbrough and south to Northallerton but only via Yarm.

You can visit the North Yorkshire Moors Railway at Grosmont, Locomotion Museum at Shildon and the Darlington Head of Steam Museum.
